Literacy-
Continuing this week: The format of our literacy lessons will be changing a bit. The story we are reading this week is called "A Froggy Fable". We are going to be talking about how change can be a little scary, difficult but it can also be comforting. We will be working on the following skills this week and possibly next:
- spelling with final syllable -le
- drawing conclusions and using background knowledge to read a text
- reading with fluency with a focus on appropriate rate and accuracy
- using adjectives in our writing
- using selection vocabulary
Religion-
We are going to continue with learning about the Easter season. We will talk about the ways that Jesus revealed Himself to us after his Resurrection. We also have the May Crowning on Wednesday. Just another friendly reminder: please have your girls bring their mass uniforms to school to change into after the May Crowning on Wednesday.
Math-
We will continue working with money for the next two weeks. We are going to count money up to a dollar, find different ways to make the same amount, make an organized list as well as take our topic test!
Social Studies/Science-
We are still working with simple machines. We will continue working with levers, inclined planes, pulleys, wheel and axle as well as screws and wedges.
Spelling-
We are going to continue working with -le words. Here are the lists for this week.
Square: Triangle:
pale pale
pebble pebble
chuckle tumble
