May 12th- May 16th

Happy Mother's Day! Only one week until First Communion and two weeks until the end of the school year. There is a lot going on in the next two weeks, I know we are going to have a blast. 

Literacy- 
This week we will be reviewing material from our last unit. Students will be reviewing author's purpose, drawing conclusions, sequence and comparing and contrasting. We will also be using verbs and compound words. 

Religion-

    As the students First Holy Communion is quickly approaching, we are learning about the mass as well as having more class discussion about the Eucharist. 

Math-
  
This week we are going to be practicing adding and subtracting money. We will finish the week with a test.
Social Studies/Science-

We will finish up with simple machines this week and talk briefly about the digestive system. We have some pretty neat activities that we will be doing. I am in need of saltine crackers and applesauce if you would like to donate any of these items. 

Spelling-

There will be no spelling tests the remainder of the year

Reminders-

I will be gone Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week attending to a personal matter. Mrs. Cann is going to be subbing. She has been a sub before and does an excellent job.There is important information regarding next school year in the Colt Express. It is near the bottom of the page. Please make sure that you read over it.
